Manzanita Hall Emergency Map

Description

This layout map of Manzanita Village at UC Santa Barbara provides a general layout plan of the residential complex, emphasizing three primary quads, distinct building names, and emergency resource locations. 

Campus Orientation

The complex is situated between several campus landmarks.

  • West: Directions lead toward Isla Vista.
  • East: Directions lead toward the Lagoon.
  • South: The grounds extend toward the Ocean.
  • North: Bordered by San Rafael Hall.

Main Buildings & Areas

The village is divided into three "Quads," each containing multiple named residential buildings.

Quad 1: Las Encinas

  • Buildings: Tecolote, Cienaga, Jalama, Arguello, and Miranda.

Quad 2: La Patera

  • Buildings: Gaviota, Condor, La Cumbre, Montecito, Tepusquet, and Rincon.

Quad 3: Los Robles
Located in the southeast section:

  • Buildings: Zaca, Camuesa, Pendola, Cuyama, Madulce, and Figueroa.

Community Centers and Facilities

  • Carrillo Dining Commons: A large central facility with an entrance across from Cuyama House. 
  • De Anza Resource Center: Located between Quad 1 and the Carrillo Dining Commons.
  • Loma Pelona Center: Situated on the northeastern edge, east of San Rafael.
  • Pool: Located directly south of the Carrillo Dining Commons. 

Emergency Evacuation Sites

There are four primary assembly points marked with a red checkered icon.

  • Quad 1 (Las Encinas): Located in the central open space between the Tecolote, Cienaga, and Arguello buildings.

  • Quad 2 (La Patera): Located in the grassy area south of the Gaviota and Condor buildings.
  • Quad 3 (Los Robles): Located in the center of the quad, surrounded by the Pendola, Camuesa, and Figueroa buildings.
  • North Sector: Located east of the Carrillo Dining Commons, near the border of San Rafael Hall. 

Safety and Utilities Legend

The map identifies several emergency and utility points throughout the village.

  • Emergency Sites: Assembly areas, First Aid Kits, and Fire Extinguishers.
  • Communication: Emergency Phones and Fire Pull Stations.
  • Utilities: Locations for Gas (G), Water (W), and Electrical (E) shut-offs.
  • Resident Services: Resident Assistant (RA) rooms and Laundry facilities (equipped with eyewash stations).
