Santa Catalina

Santa Catalina is UCSB’s largest residence hall, accommodating nearly 1300 undergraduate students. It is made up of two separate towers with North tower spanning 11 floors and South tower, 10 floors. Many rooms provide stunning views of the ocean, mountains, and surrounding community. This urban style residence hall is a short 10-minute off-street bike ride from the middle of campus, and is conveniently located adjacent to four bus lines with 247 week day rides. Students can access basic resources like restaurants, banks, and the university all by public transportation. There is also an on-site market, Tenaya Market & Eatery, offering local and sustainable food options. Santa Catalina has its own swimming pool, fitness room, and dining commons.

UCSB residence hall triple rooms are considered temporary, whether or not a student requests one as their top preference. Our standard is a double room, so budget for a double. Students will receive a rate discount only for the time three students are booked in the room. If one (or both) of the roommates move out, the remaining student(s) will be billed the double room rate, prorated, from that date through the end of the contract period.
