To take advantage of the winter break period while a majority of our residents are away, the San Joaquin project team has scheduled a significant amount of work that is detailed below:
- Underground gas line connections for new buildings will require a gas outage of Ramona Court this coming Monday, 12/12, between the hours of 9:00am - 12:00 noon. During these hours any residents that are still in their Ramona Court apartments may experience limited hot water depending upon demand from the entire complex.
- Second and third floor walkways of Ramona Court will have new traffic coating applied to enhance the slip resistance. This is a 3-day activity scheduled from Monday 12/12 - Wednesday 12/14, so we ask that residents follow all of the contractors posted signs, caution tape, and pedestrian detours during this time.
- Fire alarm testing of the next cluster of apartments, Malibu Court, is scheduled to start on Tuesday 12/13 and will continue through Friday 12/16. Testing for the next cluster of apartments, Calaveras Court, closest to Storke Road is scheduled to start on Wednesday 12/21 and continue through Friday 12/23. During this time fire alarm horns and strobes will be operated for short periods of time to confirm functionality.
- Joint sealant caulking of all expansion joints in the new concrete flatwork throughout Ramona Court and the walkways near the entrance to Santa Catalina North Tower is scheduled for Monday 12/12 thru Friday 12/23. Again we ask that any residents and staff be mindful of the posted signs and caution tape to protect this finish work.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about the impact of this scheduled work, and we appreciate your continued support and patience as we enter the final 8-months of this large construction project.
