We have received word from the Goleta Water District that there will be a planned water shut off next Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the West Campus Apartments. Given that West Campus has encountered several water shut offs in the past months, GWD is doing everything possible to minimize the impact to residents. Work will occur between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, however they will be supplying temporary water to the complex during this work via a fire hydrant, so the only interruptions in service will be experienced at the beginning of the day for 30-45 min as water is being transferred to the temporary service, and again for 30-45 min at the end of the day to disconnect and restore regular service. GWD is anticipating that this disruption will only affect residents in the Northwestern portion of the complex.
This disruption is expected to affect apartments in the Northwestern portion of West Campus Apartments. Water is anticipated to be off Wednesday, April 23rd 2014 from 8:00am – 8:45am, and again from 4:15pm - 5:00pm.
All hot and cold water will be affected. Please be aware that the afternoon outage could occur earlier in the day if work goes more quickly than expected. This is an estimated duration of disruption, and depending on circumstances, water may be off longer or shorter than originally anticipated. Also, please make sure that all faucets are securely closed before the water goes off.
Once the water is restored our maintenance staff will need to enter all units to ensure water is back on and working and properly.
Goleta Water District will be posting notices on doors of affected apartments on Monday, 4/21/14. Please contact our West Campus office if you have additional questions at 893-3040 (M-F, 8am – noon) or the Storke office at 893-2617.
