  • Where do I check in?
  • Fall quarter move-in for Santa Ynez, El Dorado, Westwinds and Westgate Academic Year contracts is on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2018. The Check-in area is located in the Jameson Center in the Santa Ynez apartment complex which will open from 9am-5pm to accept check ins.
  • If you arrive later in the week, you may check in at the Santa Ynez Main Office between 8am-5pm, or by caling the Resident Assistant on call between 5pm and 8pm at 805-451-1470.
  • To locate the Jameson Center, as you enter Santa Ynez please follow the directional signs that will navigate you through the complex and direct you to your check in location.

  • Where do I park during check in?
    • Residents of Santa Ynez can feel free to park near their respective units and walk to the Jameson Center to check-in.
    • Residents of Westwinds, Westgate and El Dorado can use temporary twenty minute spaces marked on the map above to check in at the Jameson center before proceeding to their respective complexes to unload.   
  • Are there elevators to help during move in?
    • Santa Ynez, El Dorado, Westwinds and Westgate Apartments are all two-story buildings connected by stairs. There is no elevator access to second floor apartments.

  • Where can I park after move in?
    • If you have a valid parking permit for your apartment, those autos with permits can stay in their respective lots. For visitors without parking permits, there is parking at lots 10, 12, 16 & 18 (on campus) available for autos without permits to park during the Move-In Weekend period.
      • Shuttle Service
        • There is a shuttle service provided that can bring people from a stop close to the Long Term Lots (University Plaza) to stops by Santa Catalina Residence Hall, Santa Rosa Residence Hall and Anacapa Residence Hall. There are two lines, so please make sure you're getting on the shuttle that takes you to your destination.  
      • Parking permits during school year
        • In Santa Ynez each resident can purchase a parking permit for an annual fee which covers the entire academic year. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but there is generally parking available for all residents with cars.
        • In El Dorado, Westwinds and Westgate parking permits are also available for the annual fee, however because spots are limited, they are distributed by lottery. Individuals who are placed on the wait list are able to acquire permits in the nearby Santa Ynez lot.
