The 2020-21 New Single Graduate Student Housing Contract will be available...

April 1, 2020 at 10:00am - May 15, 2020 at 4:00pm

The following information is for new single graduate students who will enter UCSB in Fall 2020. If you are a new graduate student with a family, please apply for Family Student Housing.

  • Applying for New Single Graduate Student Housing

    • Students who are applying for new graduate student housing must first apply for Graduate school and have completed the Graduate Division Online Application Form.
      • You will then use the same Graduate Division Application Email and Password that you used through the Graduate Division process to log into the housing application.
    • Your Housing Guarantee is only valid if you:
      • Submit your Statement of Intent to Register to the Graduate Division by your deadline, but in no case later than May 15 at 4:00pm.
      • Submit a contract for San Clemente Villages by May 15 at 4:00pm.
      • Complete the Personal Preferences as part of your contract process. Within a few days of returning your contract, after you have established your UCSBNetID and activated your U-Mail, you will be sent an email with a link to our online 'Personal Preferences' form.
    • All contracts offered are for residency during the following dates: September 1, 2020 - August 15, 2021, or September 1, 2020 - June 21, 2021.
    • Any graduate student who needs to request an early move-in due to an early start date for their program must contact our office after completing the Personal Preferences. Early move-ins must be requested at least four weeks prior to the move-in date you are requesting. Please note that due to remodelling planned for San Clemente Villages this summer, our ability to grant early move-in requests is extremely limited. Early move-ins are approved as space allows.
    • New single graduate students entering fall quarter are guaranteed housing for their first year as long as they adhere to application procedures and deadlines.
    • New single graduate students entering winter or spring quarter are accommodated when possible. Contact University & Community Housing Services for details.
    • For more information, please see San Clemente Villages.
    • Please check your U-Mail account directly and frequently so that you don’t miss any important messages from UCSB. It may not be reliable to forward your U-Mail to an alternate email (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.) If you don’t receive a confirmation email from us within a few minutes of submitting your contract, check your spam folder.
    • If you wish to cancel your contract prior to September 1, 2020 there is no charge.
