Exercise Your Right to Vote… in Hall Council Elections!

October 5, 2013

Hall Council is a program run by RHA, the Residence Halls Association, here at UCSB. Similar to ASB back in high school, each hall’s council plans activities and programs for the entire building, purchases desk and recreation equipment, and represents the concerns of students in the building.

Campaigning is under way and elections have officially begun! Voting ends Monday at noon so make sure to stop by your Front Desk to cast your vote!

If you aren’t running for a position, but are interested in getting involved, you can be a Floor or House Representative. Being a Floor/House Representative is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors, have a say in how the hall’s budget will be spent, be in the know about what’s going on in your hall and on campus, and have an impact in your residential community as a whole! Students living in University Apartments can also get involved through their community councils. Contact your RA if you are interested in representing your community.
