Manzanita Village and San Rafael Clusters & Towers

  • Where do I check in?

Check in takes place at the San Rafael main office (in the Tower) and the De Anza Center at Manzanita Village. The best way to get to both from Highway 101, North or South, is via the Los Carneros Rd exit. 

From Highway 101 South (arriving from areas north of UCSB)

  • Exit Los Carneros Rd and turn right
  • Continue on Los Carneros for 1.7 miles
  • Turn Left onto El Colegio Rd
  • Continue on El Colegio Rd until Ocean Road, and take a right on Ocean
  • You will be met by a member of UCSB staff on Ocean road who will direct you to your unloading zone

From the Highway 101 North (arriving from areas south of UCSB)  

  • Exit Los Carneros Road and turn left
  • Continue on Los Carneros for 1.7 miles
  • Turn Left onto El Colegio Rd
  • Continue on El Colegio Rd until Ocean Road, and take a right on Ocean
  • You will be met by a member of UCSB staff on Ocean road who will direct you to your unloading zone
  • Where do I park during check in?
    • You will be directed to your unloading zone by a member of University staff.  Most unloading for both complexes will take place in Lots 23, 24 and along Ocean Road.  
  • Are there elevators to help during move in?
    • All floors in Manzanita have elevator access via bridge walks between the buildings. You can see elevator locations via the Manzanita map as indicated by an X in a box.
    • The San Rafael tower has two elevators serving all seven floors. You can see elevator locations via the San Rafael map as indicated by an X in a box.
    • The 3-story San Rafael Ocean and Mountain Clusters are connected by stairs. There is no elevator access to the second or third floors in the San Rafael Clusters.
  • Where is my room?

  • Where can I park after move in?
    • There is long-term/weekend parking for incoming residents in lots 10, 12, 16, 18 Mesa parking structure & 22 parking structure. Please don't forget to purchase visitor permits for parking in these lots to avoid receiving a citation.
      • Shuttle Service
        • There is a shuttle service provided that can bring people from a stop close to the Long Term Lots (University Plaza) to stops by Santa Catalina Residence Hall, Santa Rosa Residence Hall and Anacapa Residence Hall.  There are two lines, so please make sure you're getting on the shuttle that takes you to your destination. 
      • Parking permits during school year
        • In the residence halls parking permits in Housing lots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Permits can be purchased online via UCSB Transportation & Parking Services.
