Construction Update for the week of March 31, 2014

April 1, 2014

What’s happening at the Sierra Madre Villages construction site this week:

The foundation has been poured on Building 7 (at the northern portion of Sierra Madre), and the framing is now up for the balconies on that building.  The steel frames were pre-fabricated offsite, and installed in just a day!

Paving will begin this week at the new West Campus/Sierra Madre Court entrance.  Large tractors and associated noise can be expected.  There are not any road closures planned, but there may be temporary delays as equipment crosses the road.

Work continues at the back side of the West Campus complex to the side of the perimeter road where they are laying new water pipe.  All work will occur off of the main road, so no traffic detours are expected, however there will be large equipment and associated noise at times.  The road is also slightly more narrow than usual, so please exercise caution when driving, and always follow the posted one way signage.

With all of the activity going on at the front of West Campus we are asking that all pedestrians remain out of the roadway for their own safety, and follow detour signs directing pedestrians to use the pathway by the playground to access Storke Rd.
