The Operation Service Center Can Help!
Have you ever encountered a plumbing leak or a door that would not open? If so, you probably called and spoke with a friendly member of the Operations Service Center (OSC). The OSC receives all of H&RS’ requests for maintenance, and they process over 37,000 work orders a year! Once a work request is placed, the OSC staff assign the work order to the proper technician, which could be an in-house staff member or an outside vendor. Often, this requires coordination with the residents and/or staff. That is why we consider the OSC to be the communication hub of Residential Operations.
The most common requests for maintenance are plumbing clogs and lock/key requests, but they coordinate everything from the apartment turnover process to pest control treatments to Dining Commons equipment repairs. The OSC staff love that they have a fun and busy office, and that every day is different. No matter what kind of request you have for them, the OSC staff are available and happy to help!
The Operations Service Center is open Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 4:30pm and can be reached at 893-3312. Work requests can be placed online 24 hours a day.
