Housing & Residential Services staff members devote time beyond their ordinary duties to contribute to the fields of housing, dining, business, conferences, and residential operations. This section lists staff members who contribute to other organizations by sharing their time or expertise.

  • Patty Aijian partnered with the Santa Barbara County General Services Department to assist in the development of their newly instituted “Y.E.S.” program. Their program was modeled, adopted and adapted from our department’s Y.E.S. program.

  • Terry Campbell was on the Host Committee for the American College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I) annual conference. He helped obtain sponsorship for programs that were offered at the conference. Terry was also on the Exhibits Committee for the Western Association of College and University Housing Officers (WACUHO) annual conference.

  • Rob Dalzell, Special Events’ previous catering chef, placed 3rd in the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) Region IX Culinary Challenge in February.

  • Delilah Poupore served as the on-site coordinator for a drive-in conference offered by the WACUHO Diversity & Affirmative Action sub-committee.

  • Bonnie Crouse has continued to maintain a strong presence on the College and University Resource Board (CURB) and was recently appointed Chair of the Board for the upcoming two-year term. There are 107 CURB school members throughout the nation, joining together to educate and improve purchasing cost benefits for universities.

  • Judy Edner served on the NACUFS 2004 national conference committee, working with colleagues from the Pacific Region to plan and execute the upcoming national conference in Las Vegas in July, 2004.

  • Joyce Ester served as the Director at Large for the Association for Student Judicial Affairs (ASJA).
