  • Reviewed and created plans for 8%, 10% and 12% budget cuts for the Community Housing Office, while continuing to meet existing goals and service levels.

  • Designed new on-call system to include all Apartment Living Resident Coordinators (RC’s) for all facilities.

  • Opened the ADA-compliant and “kid approved” Storke playground, in collaboration with the Grounds department and residents.

  • Trained all lead staff in the basics of transformative mediation skills.

  • Designed with residents a process to facilitate a smooth transition for residents moving due to the Storke renovation/redevelopment project.

  • Became sole source for apartment rental information for faculty.

  • Worked with Single Student Apartment Community Council (SSACC) to update and revise the resident government’s constitution and bylaws.

  • Designed and educated residents on the new move-out initial inspection process, in compliance with new state legislation.

  • Trained all staff on the Learning Center Resolution Model and skills and used this approach in all interactions with residents/community members.

  • Upgraded the office environment of Family Student Housing satellite offices.

  • Redesigned resident newsletters and the Community Housing Survival Guide to be more reader friendly.

  • Increased efficiency by sending more Assignment Services notices and contracts via email and by having residents enter more personal information (e.g., emergency contacts and vehicle information) on-line.

  • Designed and carried out joint selection, hiring and training program with Family Student Housing and Single Student Apartment staff.
