- University-owned Undergraduate Apartments are very popular
for sophomores, juniors and seniors.
- Many sophomores (and some juniors and seniors) return
to the university-owned residence halls.
- A lottery held February 1-15 for continuing students allocates spaces within the residence halls and apartments
- Information about other options is available through the
Community Housing Office.

|
- San Clemente Villages, a new apartment complex, opens fall 2008 and will house single graduate students in two and four bedroom apartments. To be guaranteed a space, apply online between March 15 and May 15 and adhere to all application procedures and deadlines.
- The Community Housing Office helps graduate students find
private accommodations in the community.

- Apply to live in one or two bedroom apartments located
about a mile from the campus center.
- Non-traditional and extended families are welcome.
- Families with children have priority and may wait up to
nine months. Apply early. You may apply before being admitted.
- Families without children wait up 12-18 months. Apply early. You may apply before being admitted.

| International Student |
|
- Apply for space in residence halls or University-owned apartments, April 1-June 1.
- Transfer students and new graduate students are guaranteed housing as long as they adhere to application procedures and deadlines.
- The Community Housing Office helps International students
find private accommodations.

| Summer Sessions Student |
|
- University-owned Undergraduate Apartments and residence hall spaces are available for students enrolled in Summer Session classes.
- Apply online beginning in March. Contracts are allocated on a first-come first-serve basis.
- Summer Sessions students can live in the local community. Utilize the Community Housing Office for accommodations.

| Re-Admitted Student |
|
- Re-Admitted status encompasses students who have withdrawn
from UCSB and are now returning to campus.
- A lottery allocates space for re-admitted students in the residence halls and Undergraduate Apartments. Apply online April 1 – June 1.
- The Community Housing Office helps transfer students find
private accommodations.

|
- UCSB Faculty and Staff have numerous housing options in the community.
- The Faculty Housing Office provides assistance specifically
for faculty.
- The Community
Housing Office serves faculty who desire rental housing.

| UCSB Employee |
|
- Housing options are available in the local community.
- UCSB employees include: Post Docs, Lecturers, Teaching
and/or Graduate Assistants, PSOE's, and full/part-time UCSB
employees.
- If space is available, San Clemente Villages may accommodate Single Post Docs. Apply online.
