- The San Clemente housing project continues to move along at a steady pace. The parking structure associated with the project is 95% complete. Upon completion of the structure, it will serve as the project lay down area (storage) and parking for construction workers until construction is complete.
- The apartments are approximately 60% complete on major work. All slabs and foundations are complete and all buildings are in some stage of framing. Major underground utility installations are complete. Roofing tiles are now being laid on several buildings and this can be seen in the project aerial view on this website. Stucco is in progress on many of the buildings.
- The project is currently detailing several apartments for the purpose of testing paint colors, plumbing and lighting fixtures, cabinets, doors, windows and carpet before applying those detail items to all 327 units. With sustainability as one of the project goals, San Clemente is working towards becoming certified under LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) green building standards.
- Heavy construction work on the project will continue through March of 2008. The project is on schedule for full occupancy in fall 2008.
