Almonds

If you’re like me, you enjoy snacking. One of my favorite foods to snack on is dry cereal. Snacking is a part of my everyday life, so I try to ensure that I am doing it right. There can be a right and a wrong way to snack. Snacking the right way mean choosing your snacks carefully. Try selecting options that are rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber.  Not only is snack delicious it can provide some benefits- like boosting your energy between meals and supplying nutrients to your body.
Here are some quick and easy snacks you can prepare for yourself:

1 whole wheat cracker like an ackmac
Mixed vegetables like carrots, snap peas or tomatoes
2 Tablespoons hummus
A total of just over 100 calories

2 cups strawberries
1 square dark chocolate
A total of 145 calories

14 almonds (yes count them out)
1 string cheese
A total of 160 calories

And before you go, I’ll leave you with a list of additional snack options: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/patientinstructions/000338.htm
