Refrigerator Oats

May 6, 2016
This last weekend I was visiting family, and the topic of refrigerator oats came up. It is a known fact that we are all busy, and a lot of us skip breakfast. But with refrigerator oats we can make time for breakfast, because you prepare your oats the night before or even a couple of days before.
I personally love breakfast, and it is one of my favorite meals, and refrigerator oats are a favorite of mine. Refrigerator Oats allow you to be creative and develop you own favorite recipes.

Here is one of my favorite recipes:
1 cup oats (rolled oats are best)
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon ground flax seed
½ teaspoon poppy seeds
Really you can add any seed you want.
About 1 cup of milk or almond milk or soy milk
Refrigerate overnight.

In the morning, I like to add raisins or fresh berries, and peanut butter. You can eat them cold or warm them up to take the chill away.
This breakfast is fast, nutritious and you can make changes all the time to keep is fresh and fun!
