Special Events Catering is a division of Residential Dining Services located in Carrillo Dining Commons specializing in fresh, healthy and delicious food prepared with top-notch customer service. We provide thoughtfully tailored catering for all occasions and a variety of budgets.

Please contact us as soon as you begin planning your event or conference and we will personally assist you.
Please contact us a soon as possible when you have an event date you would like to schedule. We can take events up to 6 months out and no later than 5 days prior to guarantee availability.
Five full business days prior to the event, an anticipated vegetarian guest count is required with your guarantee (vegetarian meals charged at same price as selected menu).

Service Ware & Utensils
High quality environmentally friendly compostables are provided at no charge. China, glassware and flatware are available at an additional cost.
Beverage & Bar Service
Bar staff and bar set up is provided when you offer wine or beer. A two hour minimum is required with 1 bartender for every 50 guests. Alcoholic beverages must be provided by the client.
Off Campus Events
A charge of $10.00 per mile, per service vehicle, will be added for off-campus events. Arrangements for off campus sites made by client.
A guaranteed guest count five full business days prior to an event is required. This enables us to ensure adequate staffing and food quantities. Your final bill will reflect your guaranteed count plus any additional guests.
There is a minimum order amount of $50.00 and 10 guests for all catering orders Monday–Friday, and a $100.00 minimum for orders on Saturday or Sunday.
Payment (a final bill will be provided)
If a campus account is designated to be charged please provide account number during planning. Campus charges are processed on Financial Journal forms. Events may also be paid by check to “UC Regents” and sent to Special Events Catering, Carrillo Dining Commons (mail code: 6130). Payment expected within fifteen days.
Events, menu choices or services cancelled less than three full working days prior to an event will result in a 50% charge. Events cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.
Keeping with University Policies, employees may not accept gratuities.
