UC RECIPROCITY–VISITOR PARKING

University of California campuses offer reciprocity to faculty and staff for parking permits.

§ Faculty permits are valid in lots labeled “Faculty”, and staff permits are valid in lots labeled “Staff” (see Campus Maps link above for designations of various parking lots).

§ Please watch for spaces or areas within these lots that may have additional restrictions.

§ Parking is permitted in time zones for the time designated.

§ Parking is permitted in loading zones for 20 minutes.

§ Faculty and staff permits are NOT VALID in restricted areas, restricted spaces, reserved spaces, metered spaces, coastal access spaces, or lots/spaces marked for vendors.

For those using rental vehicles (non-UC vehicles from a commercial rental agency):

§ Please bring a UC STAFF IDENTIFICATION card and proof of payment for your home campus permit (i.e., your most recent monthly pay statement)

§ Present the above items at the Parking Services Office in Lot 30 for a permit valid for the length of your stay (up to five days). Parking Services Office is open 7:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday only. See campus map links above for location.

§ NOTE: on SUNDAY, you will need to buy a $3 permit at the permit machine in the parking lots (unless you are able to bring your UC permit with you from your campus for use in your rental vehicle).

Government vehicles with “E” plates:

§ May park in all visitor/staff/faculty/service/restricted spaces

§ May NOT park in reserved spaces, metered spaces, coastal access spaces, or lots/spaces marked for vendors

§ May park in time zones for the time designated, and in loading zones for 20 minutes.
