The first of four parts to the San Miguel Stage Mural has been completed and installed! The mural features 3rd-year student Joseline Garcia’s visual interpretation of what it means to be a Gaucho. This project began as a student-initiated idea from the Residence Halls Association. The San Miguel Stage will be covered with 4 different mural panels, one for each class. The murals will rotate through and each one will be up for four years, throughout the duration of the students’ time here at UCSB.
We will be looking for a team of students to collaborate in the design of what it means to be a Gaucho to you and the painting of the 2014-15 mural. Keep an eye out for more info during Fall quarter!
