The following information is for NEW UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER students who will enter UCSB in Fall 2012 and RE-ADMITTED students who want to apply for 2012-2013 residence hall housing or university-owned undergraduate apartments.

Housing Guaranteed for Newly Admitted Students (Fall 2012):

UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE HALLS	UNIVERSITY APARTMENTS
UCSB guarantees Residence Hall accommodations for newly admitted TRANSFER students.	A limited number of spaces are available in the University Apartments. TRANSFER students may choose to apply for the Undergraduate Apartment Lottery.
Return your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by June 1, 2012 Return the Residence Hall Contract by June 15, 2012	Return your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by June 1, 2012 Submit an online Undergraduate Apartment Lottery Application between May 1 and June 1, 2012
After you submit your SIR and it is recorded in the UCSB Housing database (usually within one business day), you can download the Residence Hall Contract.	If you are selected in the apartment lottery Housing will email you a contract by June 8, 2012.
Print and complete the signature page of the contract Complete the online Personal Preference Survey Return the contract to Residence Hall Assignment Services by the due date	Complete and digitally sign the on-line contract by the due date Transfer students not selected in the apartment lottery will still be eligible to return a residence hall contract Re-admitted students not selected may be placed on a waiting list for the apartments
RE-ADMITTED students are eligible to get on the Residence Hall waiting list by sending an email to: contracts@housing.ucsb.edu.	RE-ADMITTED students with Junior or Senior status are also eligible to submit an Undergraduate Apartment lottery application.
