Housing Applications: Transfer Student Information

The following information is for NEW UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER students who will enter UCSB in Fall 2011 and RE-ADMITTED students who want to apply for 2011-2012 residence hall housing or university-owned undergraduate apartments.

Housing Guaranteed for Newly Admitted Students (Fall 2011):

UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE HALLS	UNIVERSITY APARTMENTS
UCSB guarantees Residence Hall accommodations for newly admitted TRANSFER students.	A limited number of spaces are available in the University Apartments. TRANSFER students may choose to apply for the Undergraduate Apartment Lottery.
Return your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by June 1, 2011 Return the Residence Hall Contract by June 15, 2011	Return your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by June 1, 2011 Submit an online Undergraduate Apartment Lottery Application between May 1 and June 1, 2011
After you submit your SIR and it is recorded in the UCSB Housing database (usually within one business day), you can download the Residence Hall Contract.	If you are selected in the apartment lottery Housing will email you a contract by June 10, 2011.
Print and complete the signature page of the contract Complete the online Personal Preference Survey Return the contract to Residence Hall Assignment Services by the due date	Print and complete the signature page of the contract Return the contract to Apartment Assignment Services by the due date If you are not selected you will still be eligible to return a residence hall contract
RE-ADMITTED students are also guaranteed Residence Hall accommodations and may use the Transfer student contract.	RE-ADMITTED students with Junior or Senior status are also eligible to submit an Undergraduate Apartment lottery application.
