UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE HALLS UNIVERSITY APARTMENTS
  • All undergraduate class levels are eligible to submit a contract for the residence halls
  • Single, Double, Triple and Small Double rooms are available in Manzanita Village
  • Single, Double, and 4-, 6-, or 8-person double occupancy suites in San Rafael Hall
  • University undergraduate apartments are available for continuing students that will be in their 3rd year or higher.
  • 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, shared bedroom, in El Dorado, Santa Ynez and Westgate Apartments
  • Single occupancy Studio apartments in Westgate Apartments
  • 2- and 4-bedroom apartments, single occupancy bedrooms, in San Clemente Villages
  • Contracts for 2012-13 academic year will be available beginning November 21, 2011.
  • Priority consideration for making the room assignments will be given for contracts returned before January 15, 2012.
  • Contracts will be taken after January 15, 2012 until the halls are full.
  • Once you decide you want to live in the residence halls for another year, simply download, read, sign and turn in the contract to secure your space.
  • 2-n-2 Program (Effective for 2010 Freshmen Class and later): If you live two years in the residence halls, you are guaranteed space in the University Undergraduate Apartments your third and fourth years.
  • Students who entered UCSB with the Fall 2010 freshman class and who are currently in their second year living in the residence halls are eligible to choose between a residence hall contract or a university apartment contract (2-n-2 Program).
  • Students eligible for the 2-n-2 Program may download and return the university apartment contract by January 15, 2012. Your space is secure without going through a lottery.
  • Continuing students who are not eligible for the 2-n-2 Program and will be Juniors or Seniors (3rd year or higher) may enter a lottery for the university apartments. The lottery application will be open January 17 – January 31, 2012. Space is not guaranteed.
  • Results of the lottery will be available in early February.
