The following information is for single graduate or undergraduate students seeking university owned housing for winter and/or spring quarter. Students applying for housing must have a UCSB perm number and valid email address.

• The application process for Winter Quarter opens October 1 and closes on January 5.
• The application process for Spring Quarter housing opens January 15 and closes May 15.
• Housing will be offered to eligible Spring Quarter applicants on a first come, first served basis, based upon availability.
  • Those students awarded housing will have a limited time to complete and return the contract.
  • If the room type(s) applied for are not available, you will be placed on the waiting list until one of those room types becomes available. Placement on the waiting list is based upon your original application date.
• Limited space is available for winter quarter and is based on anticipated vacancies. Spring Quarter applicants have a fairly good chance of procuring university-owned housing accommodations for the quarter.
• Inaccurate or incomplete data submitted on your application will decrease your chance of being awarded a housing contract.
• If you receive a contract, your contract will be valid through the end of Spring Quarter only. Housing applications for Summer Sessions or the next academic year must be submitted according to the timelines set for those application processes.
